Food Truck Thursday returns to RTC; How to hide TV cords

  • This Sunday, April 10, is Good Deeds Day at Gesher Jewish Day School (4800 Mattie Moore Court, Fairfax) from 1 to 4 p.m. Volunteer for a project throughout the community here.
  • Also on Sunday: There will also be 7:30 p.m. outdoor screening of “Another Way of Living: The Story of Reston, VA” about community founder, Robert Simon, at the Reston Town Center Pavilion (11900 Market Street). Free.
  • The Reston Regional Library offers the opportunity for students to read to trained therapy dogs for 15 minutes on April 12. Sign up here.
  • From RestonNowFood Truck Thursday has returned to Reston Town Center. The vendors will park at Reston Town Square Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the first Thursday of the month through the summer and early fall.

Fairfax County is preparing to redevelopment 49 acres in an area to be known as Reston Town Center North.

According to the Reston Association:

“The county seeks to enter into a public-private partnership to redevelop the existing Embry Rucker Shelter and Reston Regional Library as Phase 1 of a mixed-use development proposed for the overall Reston Town Center North area. The mixed-use development will include affordable housing, public services and private development.”
