Purchasing your first home can be an exciting and nerve-racking experience. From narrowing down the location you want to live to going through the home loan process, emotions are on a roller coaster.
McEnearney Associates will be your advocate for your best interests. My day-to-day experience in the real estate market allows me to translate the abundance of information into useful insights that will aid you in the right purchase and also right price. The home buying process can be daunting, and overwhelming, but that is where I become your personal guide.
Meet with Lauren – Get in touch with me for an initial conversation about what you’re trying to achieve with the transaction.
Choose a Lender – Finding the right lender can be time consuming, especially when you don’t know your options. My goal is to advise you on the mortgage lending options and from there, you can choose your best fit.
Conduct a Home Search – We work together to communicate your wants, needs and location options; this is where the fun begins.
Prepare Purchase Offer – After analyzing the property value, we will discuss the purchase offer. Part of my job is to negotiate the best price and terms on your behalf.
Contract for Home – I will structure the contract terms to avoid possible mishaps.
Obtain Hazard Insurance – This is protection for the homeowner against any costly damage that could occur on the home. Lenders will require insurance to protect their investment, and you will want it to protect yours!
Finalize Financing – This is one of the most important steps in the home buying process. Contact your lender to ensure all necessary paperwork is complete so that your loan is finalized as quickly as possible.
Prepare for Settlement – Remember to prepare all necessary components for settlement, and I will provide you with a list. I am here to make sure this process is seamless.
Conduct Final Walkthrough – A final appointment will be conducted before closing to ensure the sellers have met their contract commitments. This includes all items on your home inspection list (if any) and making sure the home is in proper condition to transfer to you.
Attend Settlement – The date and time for settlement will be scheduled early in the process so that it is mutually convenient for both parties. We will manage the process through closing so that everything is carefully completed and you are kept informed.
Move – Home Sweet Home! Now the keys are yours, and it’s time to turn this house into your home!
