Reston is located about 45 minutes west of Washington, D.C. in Fairfax County. Driving on I-66 and then the Dulles Toll Road from D.C. takes you through Rosslyn, Arlington, Falls Church, Fairfax, Wolf Trap and Tysons Corner.
The areas running along the Dulles Toll Roll is known as the “Technology Corridor”; along it you will find countless office buildings government contracting firms, computer development companies and large structures housing computer servers. Building cranes dot the skyline no matter where you turn, but are especially noticeable in Tysons and Reston. With the continuing extension of the Metro’s Silver Line — which currently ends in Reston but will eventually run out to Dulles airport — the growth of the community is constant, particularly around the Wiehle-Reston East metro station.
