Style changes frequently, not just in magazines but your own personal taste as well. This might be a good opportunity to include some trending patterns in your decor. Whether it’s a simple addition or something on a large scale, check out what’s trending for the home this year.
Buffalo Plaid – This trend was one of the hottest additions to holiday decor, but now has made its debut into everyday living. From curtains to pillows, and even all the way to jumbo check patterned wall paper, this ultra-chic taste of country is making quite the statement.
Shiplap – Drywall can be so drab, so go on and give your walls some texture with versatile shiplap. Lay shiplap horizontally, paint it a shade of white and create a rustic farmhouse feel, or pair it with clean line furniture for a more modern coastal look.
Herringbone – The French inspired herringbone pattern can really make a statement in any home. The pattern works well on walls, floors and pillows: you can’t go wrong with it. Consider laying wood or tile down in a herringbone pattern. It would even create a beautiful kitchen backsplash. This classic pattern is here to stay.
Floral – Classic and true, floral patterns are easy to incorporate into our living spaces. Soft printed floral pillows will liven up bedrooms or sitting rooms. If you are feeling extra daring, then find a playful and bright floral design for a single chair within your home. It will be the most talked about piece in your space.
