Did you know? The Reston Community Center (RCC) has launched UGotClass, an online learning program featuring more than 100 non-credit courses and certificate programs that can be used for personal and professional development in high-demand fields like business, eMarketing and social media for business, the green workplace, health, leadership training and education.
The RCC is also seeking performing arts groups of all ages and cultures for the 16th Annual Reston Multicultural Festival, held Sept. 24 at Lake Anne Plaza. Applications will be accepted through June 3, and interested groups or individuals should fill out an Entertainment Application Form. Criteria used to evaluate applicants will include artistic merit, production values, evidence of authentic traditions and forms of specific cultures and general merit of the performance to the festival. The Reston Multicultural Festival is a family-oriented event and material performed shall be suitable for all ages and free of any content that would be inappropriate for a diverse, multicultural and multigenerational audience. Special consideration will be given to Reston-based organizations.
