Need dinner ideas? Here’s the promotion Tavern 64 (inside the Hyatt) is running 5-11 p.m. Feb. 12-14; Big Bowl‘s dinner for two; Not Your Average Joe’s; Il Fornaio’s wine tasting for two on Feb. 13; and Melting Pot.
The Walker Nature Center will host a “Parents’ Night Out” from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 12 so parents can get a head-start on their Valentine’s Day celebration. Kids will play nature games and go on a night hike (weather permitting), design a special clay Valentine, make a red treat and watch classic cartoons.

The Greater Reston Arts Center (GRACE) will offer a “Handmade Valentine Card Workshop.” Using punches, origami and stamping techniques, create one-of-a-kind valentines for someone special. Sign the whole family up for this workshop led by GRACE staff to make some fun, creative valentines. Note: Parents will need to assist children with the creation of ornaments, and children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Adults may come on their own and do not need to be accompanied by a child.

Reston Town Center will offer horse-drawn carriage rides, departing in front of Talbots on Market Street, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Feb. 14. All proceeds benefit Leadership Fairfax. Carriages will run rain or shine. The cost is $5/person, ages 5 and younger ride free with an adult
